About Me

One of the greatest blessings
I've been given is the opportunity to compete in the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Program. The scholarship fund is based on a rich scholastic tradition which has been the cornerstone of the Miss America program since 1945. Today, educational achievements and public service continue to be the primary objectives for the Miss America and the Miss Tennessee organizations.

I made my first appearance in Miss Tennessee as Miss West Tennessee 2006 and then a second time as Miss Athens of the South 2007. I am currently the 2009 Miss Mountain Lakes.  My director is Krisna Goodwin and I am blessed to have the opportunity to compete again in 2009.  The Miss Tennessee America scholarship program offers opportunities for young women to become active in our communities, as well as showcase our talents. Titleholders are awarded scholarships, which aid in furthering our education. The experiences I've had within this program have truly impacted my life.

Our current Miss Tennessee, Ellen Carrington has recently returned from competition in the Miss America pageant, where she did very well representing Tennessee, placing 6th overall!!! Congratulations to Ellen!

Originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee I am currently a senior at MTSU majoring in psychology with chemistry and biology minors. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology I plan to complete a masters program in Cell and Molecular Biology before advancing to medical school. My dream is to become a surgeon.

I am very passionate about helping individuals who are less fortunate, as well as assisting families in improving their quality of life.  Increasing public awareness of the opportunities to assist those in need is a main focus for me.  It is incredibly rewarding to be able to share your time and resources to impact others.

From a young age I was exposed to the greatness of helping others and volunteering became a huge part of my life. I have worked with organization such as the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Special Olympics, and many more!
Please help me support these organizations. Below I have provided a link which will offer you a quick and easy way to make a donation or offer your time as a volunteer.
Working together, we can improve the quality of life.
